Aircraft Appraisal Scope
OakTree Aviation Services provides independent aircraft appraisals for general and business aviation aircraft, with assignments structured for reliance by lenders, legal counsel, fiduciaries, and owners. Our appraisals focus on the subject aircraft's actual condition, equipment, documentation, and market context at the effective date of value — not on static pricing guides or generalized value indications.
What Our Appraisal Includes
Every appraisal assignment includes the following scope of work:
On-site physical inspection of airframe, engine, propeller, and interior
Review of all available logbooks and maintenance records
Avionics and equipment inventory
Condition grading and documentation
Market research and comparable sales analysis
Written report with supported value conclusion
Clearly defined intended use, intended users, scope of work, and effective date
Report Types
Depending on the assignment's requirements, we provide:
USPAP-compliant appraisals for higher-reliance assignments such as lending, estate and divorce matters, litigation, and IRS reporting
Certified non-USPAP reports where a client needs a professionally prepared opinion of value supported by on-site inspection and market data, but does not require full USPAP compliance
All assignments include on-site inspection and full review of logbooks and records. We do not provide desktop or no-inspection opinions of value.
